Noah's Ark rested on the south side of Mt Ararat.
Looking up the Red Gorge
Those of us who have not yet visited the site believe those two big objects are sections of Noah's Ark.
Possible second section as it is large and has some straight lines.
Where Did the Ark Come to Rest?
There has been considerable debate on where the Bible says the ark came to rest.
"And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat." (Gen 8:4)
Studying the Bible for well over 40 years, I have come to realize that it is a very precise document. The problem is people get the context wrong or do not understand the context, so they make wild assumptions. Mt. Ararat is what is considered a single mountain and there is a smaller mountain called Lesser Ararat. Since Mt. Ararat is what we would call a single mountain, where the scriptures say "upon the mountains of Ararat" brings confusion. It shouldn't. The word "mountains" can be translated as mountains or as the large hills or ridges on a mountain. Mt. Ararat is very specific. Being it is a single mountain then the word "mountains" would mean the large hills or ridges on Mt. Ararat. And that is where the Ark has been found at about the 14,000 foot elevation.
Snow and ice some years cover the area where the Ark is located. Then some years, where it is warmer and the snow melts making the ark more accessable.
